VILF = Vampires I’d Like to F***!

TV Guide bring us with Sookie and Eric face off. Thanks to our sisters from The Vault for the scan

Alan Ball “explains” Eric’s darker hair and other teasers:

“Because when vampires keep secrets from humans that they love, their hair follicles turn darker,” deadpans Alan Ball. “And that’s especially true if they’re carrying a torch for a blond waitress.” Very funny. The real reason, please? “Alexander made a movie during his hiatus and his hair was darker when he returned,” explains Ball with a laugh. “It wasn’t a choice [we made].”

The show is currently shooting episode 6, penned by executive producer Alan Ball. And guess what? It contains what Ball describes as an “intense” Sookie/Eric moment. “Let’s put it this way,” he adds, “I think people will have strong feelings about it.” In possibly related news, Ball told TV Guide that “Sookie is sexually drawn to [Eric] because she’s had his blood. But there is another reason he’s drawn to her, one that will be revealed this season.”

Here’s a clip from Beyond the Pole and in it you can hear Alexander Skarsgård speaking Norwegian. Stephen Mangan stars in a new mockumentary following two hapless explorers as they undertake an environmental expedition to the North Pole. They plan on going for the Guinness book of world records to be the first organic carbon neutral and vegetarian expedition to make the pole. Here they meet Norwegian rivals, one of them played by True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård.

You could be forgiven for overlooking Alexander Skarsgård’s dastardly, bloodsucking sheriff and bar owner Eric Northman in the first season of hit vampire show True Blood.

All the attention was on the fizzing chemistry and red-hot sex scenes between Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse – real-life lovers Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

But as season two of the bloody brilliant show kicks off, Alexander has finally been given a storyline to sink his teeth into, involving his mysterious maker and telepath Sookie – and it’s just what the sexy Swede has been looking forward to.

With the pilot filmed before Twilight fever hit, Alexander – like the other stars – signed up with fingers crossed that a show based on Charlaine Harris’ The Southern Vampire Mysteries books would be a success.

But he admits that he’s always found vampires sexy. “There’s the attraction, but at the same time you know a vampire is an animal who’d kill you in a second,” he muses. “People are fascinated by the knowledge and the experience and the wisdom. You can only imagine what someone who has been around for 1,000 years has seen.”

According to our good pal (otherwise known as Wikipedia), “The number 13 is associated with bad luck in some countries, and even has a specifically recognized phobia, Triskaidekaphobia.” Well, throw that definition out the window because thanks to the folks in Bon Temps, that numeral should now be considered very lucky!

Why is that you ask? Oh because on Sunday, June 13, 2010, season three of the hit HBO series “True Blood” will premiere!! This is so exciting for oh-so-many reasons (you know, besides the fact that Alexander Skarsgard will finally return — naked — to our living rooms), but because we don’t have enough time or space to list them all, just know that this chapter of the show will flaunt a badass new werewolf (who comes complete with real wolves), a new boy toy for Lafayette, a new girl for boy toy Jason Stackhouse, an “erotic connection” between Sam and Bill and, last but not least, cameos by Godric!!

Father and son Stellan and Alexander Skarsgård are joining Peter Stormare in the voice cast of the animated family 3D feature “Moomins And The Comet Chase,” based on the 65-year old cartoon creation by Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson.

Stellan and Alexander Skarsgard will provide the voices of Moominpapa and son Moomintroll, respectively. Peter Stormare will lend his voice to the character Snufkin. Bjork is composing original music for the film along with Andrzej Rokicki.

Finnish production company Oy Filmkompaniet is making the feature in digital stereoscopic 3D in what is billed as the Nordic region’s first ever 3D movie.

Maria Lindberg directs from a script by Joel Backstrom, Iivo Baric, Anders Larsson, and Minna Karvonen while Filmkompaniet CEO Tom Carpelan serves as producer.

Celebrating their 65th anniversary this year, the iconic “Moomins” are one of Finland’s highest profile exports of the last 20 years. Translated in over 40 languages, they have been adapted for television, film, opera and radio and have spawned numerous books and comics as well as thousands of licensed products including pasta shapes and a theme park.

The picture is scheduled to hit theaters in fall 2010 and details the story of Moomintroll who leads a trek where they meet many peculiar creatures and dangers under the threat of the arrival of a comet that is predicted to destroy the village.

I would like to apologize for the huge lack of updates here. I had a lot of personal issues including health, work, family, and unfortunately everything that is considered as hobby was put on hold. Things are going to back on trails so, let’s to the party:

As you saw in the previous post, Alex did an interview to LA Times Magazine. I’ve added more pictures and also a video interview, and screencaptures, as you can see below:
