This video was released today at HBO On Demand, and thanks to fellow Tumblr friends, we’re able to watch it. It’s a red carpet interview with new scenes for Season 04. It has a WONDERFUL new scene with Eric and Sookie:

The outcome of the spell showcases both Skarsgård’s and Shaw’s talent, as Marnie is possessed by a young witch’s spirit who can cast a spell to take away Eric’s memory. Fiona Shaw makes us believe that Marnie has been taken over by a more powerful spirit, while Skarsgård’shows every nuance of Eric’s growing apprehension that something is going awry, followed by the slow draining away of the fierce alpha vampire, leaving a confused and vulnerable Eric in his place. Skarsgård’ actually shows the moment Eric loses his memory. The shifts in power and identity between the two characters not only nail the scene but also beautifully underline the season’s theme of the construction and deconstruction of identity.

First advise: spoilers, lots of.
Two more videos has surfaced with new scenes for Season 04, the first one apparently contain scenes for episode 03. The second one was aired on E!

Of course I’m not going to spoil you, or even cap the episode here. But one thing I have to say: the scene captured above is pure acting. And I mean it.

The wait is over! Last night was the Season 04 premiere, and it was great! There was only a few scenes of Eric, and we kind of knew it because the preview released clips, but… it was great! And if you’re a “Dead to the World” fan, you may be as excited for this season as I am.

Entertainment sites have already watched the first episode of True Blood, and reviews started to pop up around. There’s one thing commonly being said: this season belongs to Eric Northman. Not that we didn’t knew that, but…

With the exception of poor Kwanten, who has once again been given the short end of the story stick, all of the main characters and most of the secondary ones are off to a great start — and that includes newcomer Fiona Shaw as an overachieving witch. Still, if what we see in the first three episodes is a fair guide, the season is going to belong to Skarsgard, and it could not be in better hands.

Every line, every reaction is perfectly pitched, every shift from humor to menace to seduction perfectly played. Indeed, with one hilarious look at the end of the third episode, a kind of visual “oops,” Skarsgard makes you think about next year’s Emmys, and we haven’t even reached this year’s.
